Work package 3 focuses on cost-efficient hydrogen driven maritime operations, the use of hydrogen in CCU at industrial sites, and maritime application of hydrogen and hydrogen-carriers.
Geir Nævdal: WP3 Lead
Geir Nævdal is a chief scientist at NORCE Energy. Nævdal has been conducting applied research for more than 20 years. He has mostly been working on problems involving porous media flow, flow in wells, and more recently seismic inversion and medicine. His main focus has been on solving problems involving data assimilation, large-scale parameter estimation and optimization.
Velaug Myrseth Oltedal have a PhD in physical chemistry, and have worked as a researcher within various fields. Oltedals competence spans from nanotechnology to petroleum (drilling and wells), and green energy. Current research interests are hydrogen, and green and renewable energy. Ongoing research activities include feasibility of hydrogen production from offshore wind, and electrolysis using salt water.
